Unraced Projects of the 1990 season

1990 was in all aspects not that spectacular. Zakspeed and Rial disappeared from the grid due financial issues and Life Racing Engines made its debut, note this is basically the First team, powered by their controversial V12 engine concept. How Zakspeed tried to re-enter the Formula One

Erich Zakowski left Formula One at the end of January 1990 when his Zakspeed team tested their Zakspeed–Yamaha 891B for the final time at Estoril and then Paul Ricard. The F1 project had become too expensive and after a disastrous 1989 season the team’s main sponsors ended their support of Zakspeed.
