It has been eight years when i “finished” my research for Phoenix Grand Prix. For those who don’t recall or are new with this. Phoenix Grand Prix was rose from the ashes of Prost Grand Prix in early 2002. Late Tom Walkinshaw and Charles Nickerson were behind this project. Where TWR would help out to setup the team. Many stories can be found on the web, many rumours and a lot of false information as well. People have their opinion about what happened in that period. Arrows eventually disappeared from the grid during the 2002 season, while Phoenix would switch name to D.A.R.T. Grand Prix only to return to their old name soon after. I will redo my research into this team.
As said eight years ago I finished my research into this team, even spoke with Charles Nickerson about the project. However, not much came out of it. However, after reading my article from eight years ago, which can be found here. I decided it is time to do my research over. I have plenty of documents official and less official in my possession since that article came. Also my understanding in “technical” English is now much better than it was back when I did my first proper research.
The thing is, there will be subjects be written about that people still get sour of. People even today who were involved in the project seem not willing to discuss the matter. Therefore, I added a new section to the website “Phoenix” where I will just publish article after article. For myself and for you the reader it will probably better to understand what was going on when there are multiple articles.
I have to say, there are still pieces of info I don’t know how to cope with it or how to properly translate it to an article. The intention is as well to get again in contact with people who were linked with the project. I want to know everything about the project, and some of you I believe would like to know it as well.
